MY VERSION OF THE OKTOBERFEST STORY
About
I've been an oktoberfest enthusiast in Brazil since 2007, when "somewhat unintentionally" I discovered the party. I was on a field trip with the geology faculty, staying in Indaial, a neighboring city to Blumenau, when on the last night of activity in the region, we stopped for dinner at a restaurant near Vila Germanica.
To this day I don't know how we managed to return to Indaial and catch the university bus the next morning, but I remember waking up many kilometers later on the bus and asking a friend: "what are we doing?" and he replied: "coming back to São Paulo."
Indignant and with great sadness I argued: "but oktober is not over!"
Why are we going down!
The plan to get off in the middle of the road and hitchhike back to Blumenau seemed inappropriate to the vast majority of colleagues, except for one.
The aka Maiden, who accompanied me on the rescue journey to oktoberfest. An adventure that forever changed my relationship with the party.
oktoberfest mission
Since then, going annually to the oktoberfest, bringing new friends to experience what I consider the best popular party on the planet, has become my mission.
The project #Viva our Oktoberfest! It is born from this story and aims to promote the party and bring more and more people to know this incredible party.
